Two things are bugging me:
1) The bug where you get an partial crash in the "Summary" window if
you do something the underlying ListView control doesn't like;
apparently it's an issue MS knows about but when will it be fixed? This
isn't supposed to be Beta anymore! Anybody know more about this? It's
some kind of invalid index error, I forget the actual message, but
those of you who run into it from time to time know the one I mean. The
environment keeps working, but the Summary pane remains empty until you
restart Management Studio.
2) I've noticed that in a lengthy session, the environment forgets to
color-code the keyword "VarChar" in blue, it just stays black. One
query window can still be displaying it correctly while other windows
aren't. I've done a search on this and found nothing.
Thanks for looking, BobI don't know if those specific problems are fixed, but have you
installed Service Pack 1 (SP1)? That would seem to be the place to
start.

2005 Design Studio vs 2000 Enterprise manager
In 2000 you could sort a list of tables in the right hand window pane by
Create Date, Name, etc...
How do you accomplish that in 2005 ?
In Query daesigner you find a toolbar above the panel, (the same toolbar
where you find the "Report" icon. one of the available icons offers you two
ways to view the object conatined in a container: "List" or "Details"; the
default view is "List"; selecting "Details" you obtain a detailed list
organised on a per column basis; selecting a column name you sort the list by
that column (is a toggle: a first click orders ascending, the second orders
descending).

2005 backup scheduler
I can not see the schedule option in the backup database window of sql server 2005.
Any thoughts please?Make a new SSIS Maintenance plan, scroll down to the Mangagement node, expand, right click the Maintenance Plan node and select either New Maintenence Task or Maintenance Plan wizard. The Maintenance plan gives you the scheduling options.
